Both tampons and most sanitary pads may cause many female health problems such as endometriosis. The reality is, women need to use a product of some kind. After much research into what is available on the market the only product we consider safe, comfortable and effective are these pads. We are proud to offer these products through our clinic.

The many advantages…

Super absorbent

They can absorb two to three times the amount of fluid of a traditional pad.  Natural crystal-like particles lock in twice the moisture to keep surface dry.

Other brands – not able to hold as much fluid. This could cause leakage.

Health Protection – the Anion strip

These pads have a high density anion strip inside the soft cotton lining. The anion strip is activated by moisture or friction from wearing the pad. This Anion strip helps kill harmful bacteria and increases oxygen uptake into the blood. The Anion strip emits up to an amazing 60070 anions (negative ions) per centimetre which effectively helps to inhibit the survival and growth of bacteria and viruses. This helps women by suppressing the survival and multiplication of bacteria, eliminating odour and promoting comfort during menstruation. The whole process is chemical free!

Other brands – no patented Anion strip is available.

Comfort

These pads have a soft cotton layer next to the skin so there is no irritation.

Other brands – surface of artificial fiber or rough surface, usually nylon.

Air Permeability

The base of these pads is permeable to air but not to water enhancing  greater hygiene levels. They minimise bacterial infections and gynaecological problems.

Other brands – most traditional pads have a plastic base which does not allow air to circulate. This then creates a breeding ground for bacteria.

Affordable

They absorb up to 3 times the fluid of traditional pads. The negative ion strip kills bacteria greatly reducing odour. Add these two facts together and the pad lasts 2-3 times longer than other pads. Not using as many pads saves you money!

Health and Safety Factors

Tampons V Health

Tampons can cause numerous health problems including toxic shock syndrome.  The material in the tampon can produce Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and this leads to toxic shock.

The more absorbent the tampon, the worse they are. The highly absorbent viscose rayon produces toxins and these toxins are absorbed into your body. Tampons have been associated with endometriosis possibly due to menstrual tissue being pushed up the fallopian tubes and it then exits into the body and starts to grow outside of the uterus.

Once you remove the tampon, fibres are left behind and these fibres can cause odour and inflammation. If a woman has a chronic inflammation it can lead to infertility.

Yet women use these products without a second thought.

Other Pads: The Padding

The padding in most traditional sanitary pads  is produced from recycled paper pulp.  During the recycling process, large amounts of caustic soda, bleach, deodoriser, fluoresces and other chemicals are introduced. These strong alkaline chemicals damage the skin’s acid and alkaline balance, and can lead to the propagation of bacteria and infusorian.

These pads  on the other hand are made from all-new materials including water absorbing corn granules, fully enclosed in sterilised, dust-free paper.
